During his teenage years, Kian had no confidence in himself due to his alopecia areata, a stress-related skin ailment. To top this off, his family faced the most trying time of their lives: His mom got a thyroid problem, his parents' business was failing so they were forced to sell their house and move into a small apartment in a depressed neighborhood. He got bullied a lot too by his classmates and was called "Mabahong Bumbay". During the lowest point of his life, Kian turned to marijuana and became a 'basagulero' like his classmates. However, Kian realized his mistakes when his mom got really disappointed in him when school officials forbade him to attend his class graduation. Kian has now emerged as a focused and healthy individual and a successful enterpreneur. A certified flirt, Kian confesses that he is now on the look out for true love.
